The British Museum is seeking a full-time Project Manager for International Engagement. This role involves managing the development and delivery of several of the Museum’s portfolio of International Touring Exhibitions to overseas hosts. The post-holder may also be required to project manage the delivery of other of the Museum’s international advisory and/or training services.
Key responsibilities include managing the development of the Museum’s international touring exhibitions, coordinating the delivery of exhibition materials, liaising with loans administrators, and managing the budget for the delivery of the exhibition under the supervision of a line manager.
The ideal candidate will be a university graduate or equivalent with project management experience, experience working on international projects, and budget management experience. They should have the ability to communicate well at all levels across an organisation and influence people to achieve “buy-in” to a project. A sense of tact and diplomacy, the ability to adopt a culturally sensitive approach, and a willingness to travel abroad are also required. Foreign language skills are desirable.
