Who are we?
Sharky & George is a creative events company that specialise in immersive experiences for children and adults in the UK and overseas. With offices in Parsons Green, London and Bristol, Sharky & George employ a core team of ~25 staff, supported by a party team of over two hundred freelancers, who are kept very busy managing an average of two hundred events a month.
The Corporate Team
The corporate events team at Sharky & George continues to expand and we are seeking someone passionate, dynamic and creative to join our team. With some seriously exciting events in the pipeline for 2024/5 we are looking for someone who is both ambitious and keen to embrace a new challenge. Events range from adult summer sports days (with a twist!) and abraod off-sites, to children’s office Christmas parties and film screening events.
The Role
- Responding to corporate event enquiries in a timely manner
- Supporting the corporate team with research projects and various administrative tasks ie sourcing new suppliers or craft ideas
- Creating kit lists, ordering and packing kit for corporate events, and working with the logistics team where necessary to ensure all kit is packed correctly and deliveries are scheduled
- Scheduling, preparing for and attending client meetings and site visits
- Creating detailed event proposals for corporate clients using Canva
- Meticulously planning and executing events for children and adults including but not limited to liaising with suppliers and venues, sourcing wild and wonderful things, overseeing set up and take down and event managing where necessary
- Working with the team to ensure all relevant licences, documents and assessments are in place before events
- Genuinely understanding the feasibility of ideas in the context of each event
- Working closely in a team of 4 event planners to ensure efficient running of all S&G corporate events

- Entry level position

- Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects against tight deadlines

- The ability to be adaptive, responsive and to problem solve whilst remaining calm under pressure and professional at all times
- Proficiency using a range of office IT including gDrive, spreadsheets, booking software/CRM, design software skills like Canva
Details
The role is full-time, to commence over the next two months. The salary for this role will be subject to experience and is pitched at a junior events assistant position. The role is London-based with some flexibility for home working. Sharky & George working hours have recently changed to 9am-5pm.
