What will you be doing?

Join the College governing body as a full Governor or as a Co-opted Audit Committee member to make a positive difference to our students and communities. We are looking to engage with people with the passion and interest in supporting the lives of young people and adults through education and who will constructively challenge the senior leadership team, by asking the right questions and enabling the team to think differently about the future of the college, our people, students, stakeholders and our communities. As an Audit Committee member:

you will have a professional qualification in finance, audit or similar strong risk analysis and management skills and knowledge to be able to oversee the College’s risk identification and mitigation processes experience in overseeing the internal and/or external audit and control processes financial oversight skills to support the effective assessment and monitoring of the college’s financial performance

Previous board experience is not essential and training and support will be provided.  Location: Audit Committee meetings take place remotely, via Microsoft Teams.  4 Meetings per year.  Board Meetings normally take place in person. Remuneration: Unpaid, voluntary with reasonable expenses reimbursed.

As an Audit Committee member:
