This role reports to the CEO, and currently has 2 direct reports – a Senior Talent Partner (leading on talent acquisition and development) and an Office / Admin Lead to support on day-to-day administrative management.
Responsibilities:
Core responsibilities of the role:
- Lead the Legal, Compliance & Risk function
- Lead the People & Culture function
- Lead a small team of professionals to deliver on the day-to-day responsibilities of each function
- Deliver all Legal, Compliance & Risk related activities including acting as general counsel to the leadership team; (legal) contracts drafting & review; working with external legal advisors; drafting, reviewing and monitoring the full set of company policies; and managing risk and quality assurance.
- Deliver all People & Culture related processes – from talent acquisition; onboarding & training; development and retention, to supporting leaders and managers across the organisation on people operations and performance management.
- Deliver on all office and administrative tasks required to make the company function smoothly, empowering our teams to deliver to the best of their abilities.
Ideal candidate profile:
- You're a trained lawyer (with LLB/GDL and completed your training contract) and are excited about adding impact to a scaling business
- At least 5 years’ of relevant work experience
- Some key traits -- comfortable with complexity; self-starter that works well in teams; problem-solver; attention to detail; thrives in fast-paced environment with lots going on
