What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a self-motived and enthusiastic Intern to join our team for 6 months.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in learning about direct-to-consumer growth, specifically in the context of marketing, in an exciting startup environment.
We’re open to a broad candidate pool - you might be someone looking for a total career change, returning to work after a break, a recent graduate or someone who just wants to dive into something new and make an impact.
What we’re looking for is someone who cares about our mission, wants to make a real impact on the world of education and has a strong commitment to learn about all things related to books, content usage and publishing.
What you’ll learn about
- Scaling a Direct-to-Consumer business model across different markets through search engine optimisation (SEO).
- An extensive introduction to SEO principles, and how it can operate as a product function within an organisation
- A deep understanding of Technical SEO
- How to construct and execute an outreach campaign
- How to leverage data to identify and remove piracy from Search Engines
- How to juggle competing priorities in a rapidly scaling start-up
- How to own and deliver complex projects
What you’ll do
- Identify opportunities for scalable growth through SEO.
- Own the execution of targeted initiatives that contribute to SEO Growth.
- Lead the identification and removal of piracy from search engines to support our publishing partners.
- Identify and outreach to potential users of our AI Researcher tool to drive initial awareness.
- Support cross-functional work with product, marketing, data and engineering teams.
- Support on analysing data to generate actionable insights to be executed for SEO initiatives.
Requirements
It’s perfect if you are:
- Excited by working in a fast-paced start-up environment with constant change
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and spoken English skills
- Are an excellent communicator and able to communicate complex ideas simply and clearly with an actionable plan
- Excellent at organising, managing your time and keeping to deadlines
- Comfortable handling large sets of data
- Experienced with the use of digital tools: G-suite, Slack, Excel, data dashboards
- Open to feedback and always looking to learn
For this role, to set you up for success and maximise your learning experience we would require you to come to our beautiful office in Holborn/Chancery Lane at least 2 days per week. 🌈
The internship will last 6 months and we are open to this role becoming permanent if everything goes well and if there is a strong business need for the role.
