Whether it’s pitching to a potential member, developing new contacts in high-value target employers, designing resources to help employees discover the benefits of train travel, responding to journalists wanting to know more, or thinking ahead to scale up ambition and impact - we’re on the hunt for someone with a bee in their bonnet about high-carbon holidays, and the entrepreneurial spirit to do something about it.

The basics:

  • Day rate: £250 per day for 60 days (with strong likelihood of being extended to 120 days, depending on funding)
  • Contract: freelance, working approximately 2.5 days per week for 24 weeks until end of March 2025 (we hope to be able to extend the contract until end of September 2025). Occasional weekend and evening work to attend events may be required.
  • Location: remote (within UK). Occasional national travel that can be expensed.
  • Managed by:  Senior Campaigner

  • Contact for questions: [email removed - click apply for more details].

To make our shortlist, you’ll need:

  • Ability to build positive relationships with corporate stakeholders, including large international corporations, to deliver shared goals. Experience working with European overland travel providers (e.g. Eurostar, Rail Europe) would be an advantage, but is not essential.
  • An interest in public engagement with climate action and climate justice - you don’t need a degree in the topic or have spent the last three years living in a tree as a committed activist, you just need to be able to show an interest.
  • A creative and entrepreneurial approach, able to plan for growth, explore revenue diversification and generate and take development opportunities.
  • Experience of successful project delivery and project budget management, including the ability to design annual project plans and budgets.
  • High standard of written and spoken communication; including the ability to write copy to simply convey tricky concepts, and the ability to present compellingly to key stakeholders.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with Possible team members, stakeholders, Climate Perks employers and prospective member employers.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
