Role Summary

⭐ Our FinCrime team
We're a team of dedicated Financial Crime experts working together to outsmart criminals and keep our customers safe. The team comprises risk experts, engineers, data scientists and machine learning specialists to develop the cutting edge of Financial Crime controls. We're searching for someone who's as passionate about safeguarding customers and protecting society as we are.
🔑 You’ll play a key role by…
Leading a large team of Financial Crime risk experts, responsible for the effective operation of a suite of Fincrime controls. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, employing the latest technologies to craft detective and preventive tools that respond quickly to threats. With your contributions, we'll continue to stay several steps ahead of money laundering, terrorist or other criminal activity, ensuring the continued trust and safety of our customers.
You’ll spend your time setting and executing Financial Crime systems and controls strategy, working in close partnership with multidisciplinary teams across Monzo. You’ll be partnering with third party service providers to deliver cutting edge Financial Crime controls to support Monzo’s safe growth and protect our customers.

- You’re an exceptional Financial Crime leader, with a career history of leading large teams responsible for managing and developing a broad suite of Financial Crime controls.

- You're resilient and comfortable working in a fast paced environment where the day to day job is constantly evolving and changing.

📍This role can be based in our London office, but we're open to distributed working within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London)
