As Head of Religious Education, you will be the expert in subject development for the organisation; leading the approach to developing teachers in Religious Education. You will have significant expertise/experience in designing curriculum for teachers or teacher educators, and research informed knowledge of effective curriculum sequencing. You will have experience of developing others within the context of your subject specialism. Your knowledge of the pedagogy underpinning your subject specialism is exemplary. You have QTS (or equivalent) and have demonstrable experience of delivering impact in schools. Your knowledge of the Teachers’ Standards (2012), the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) Core Content Framework and the Early Career Framework is excellent.
You have significant experience of successfully establishing goals and direction and effectively communicating them to key stakeholders; and can balance representing the needs of a range of stakeholders with those of the organisation, ensuring optimal outcomes. You are skilled in leading and managing teams, especially large scale geographically dispersed teams. You have experience of formulating and delivering on plans to achieve targets and identifying course correcting actions. You take effective, considered and timely decisions by gathering and evaluating relevant information. You have a commitment to and knowledge of advancing diversity and inclusion.
