Role Summary:

Role Requirements:

  • UEFA B License is a must-have.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Leadership confidence and strategic decision-making ability.
  • Experience in developing football coaching curriculums.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • UEFA A License is desirable, but not essential.

Bloomsbury Football has ambitious plans to scale its impact over the next four years to engage 20,000 young people per week by 2028. As part of this, we need a world class team of full-time coaches to deliver our impact. Our current coaching team consists of 15 full-time coaches, with this set to expand to 30+ by 2028. The Head of Coaching would be tasked with developing a best in class coach-performance & management function to ensure that all coaches are suitably guided throughout their time at Bloomsbury.

The successful candidate will be organised, personable, have an excellent work ethic and be seeking a new challenge. Bloomsbury Football Foundation is changing the game, and we need great people to help us on our journey! In late 2023, Bloomsbury Football Foundation published its new 5-year game plan with the goal of providing high quality, football provision for 20,000 young people every week.

Key Duties include performance manage & develop our team of 15 full-time football & futsal coaches to ensure an excellent standard of coaching, develop a method for quality assurance at scale, provide personalised support to ensure best coaching practices and organise weekly CPD sessions with external experts, collaborate on coach recruitment function, and devise the long-term strategy for the coaching function to grow sustainably and effectively to 30+ coaches.

Essential Requirements: UEFA B License, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Exceptional time management with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, Confidence in leadership and decision-making, Experience in building a football coaching curriculum, Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
