What will you be doing?
Through the archive collection we aim to connect with the public and researchers to reveal the fascinating history of daily life and industries through advertising. Our marketing and fundraising team help raise awareness of the archive, fund new acquisitions and help to provide greater access to our vast collection. The kind of activities you could get involved in include:
Content creator - writing/researching blog articles, photography, videography Social media coordinator - preparing and deploying posts, interacting with followers Events promotion – organising and running events, preparing and delivering talks Selling duplicates – we aim to sell duplicates of publications and advertisements on eBay to raise funds for the Archive. This role would include photography, listing and posting items and would be a great remote role you can do from home.

What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate should possess:
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate the archive's mission and activities to diverse audiences through various channels. Marketing and Fundraising Experience: Experience in marketing strategies, fundraising campaigns, and donor relations to raise awareness and financial support for the archive. Content Creation: Proficiency in creating engaging content such as blog articles, photography, videography, and social media posts to promote the archive's collections and events. Event Management: Skills in organising and promoting events, as well as delivering talks or presentations to engage the community. E-commerce and Sales: Experience in online sales platforms like eBay, including photography, listing, and managing transactions for selling duplicates to raise funds. Tech Savvy: Comfortable with digital tools and platforms for content creation, social media management, and e-commerce activities. Creativity: Ability to think creatively and innovatively to develop marketing strategies and fundraising initiatives that effectively engage audiences and generate support. Passion for History and Culture: Genuine interest in preserving and promoting cultural heritage, with an understanding of the importance of archives in documenting and interpreting history. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are utilized efficiently. Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and embrace new challenges, including the potential for remote work in selling duplicates.
