About the role

The purpose of this role is to enable the People Services Team to provide an outstanding people service to our customers. This will include being a specialist in employee relations, data savvy, a trusted leader and completely devoted to outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of SCUK's People Services Team. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing our employee experience by providing a centralised point for all People Services related queries.

Job requirements

To be successful, it is important that you have: Excellent knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, people policies and practices including conducting restructures. Extensive experience of effectively resolving and managing complex investigations, grievances and disciplinaries towards effective outcomes. Experience of effectively coaching, mentoring, and developing a customer focussed team. Demonstrable experience of managing and delivering within a customer service-orientated People operational setting. Ability to develop strong relationships and collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues, networks, leaders, and managers. Experience in procuring and managing contracts to improve service provision. An agile mindset and approach, with the ability to constantly adapt plans and review approaches, the willingness to constantly learn, including from positive and constructive feedback, and to work in ambiguity and emergence. Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands with high levels of flexibility and the ability to work with confidential data. Outstanding communication and relationship building skills. Strong data analytics skills and the ability to use data to evidence key results and provide insight in decision making and driving continuous improvements. Proficiency in MS Office applications, ticketing, and HR Systems.
