- Role Summary:
- Lead a dedicated legal and investigations team in Rwanda.

- 5+ years in the legal field (law firm, NGO, international agency, government).
- Proven investigation skills in fraud and misconduct.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
- Experience in negotiation and external partnerships.
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda.

About One Acre Fund Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips more than 4 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services.
The Role You will serve in a career-track position that combines Legal Compliance and transactional work with legal advisory and lead a team of internal investigators. You will have two direct reports and a team of 4 staff members who manage investigations and repayment work across Rwanda. You will be responsible for their professional development and ensuring targets are met.
Job Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience working in the legal field for a major law firm, NGO, International Agency, or Government in Rwanda or East Africa. Demonstrated ability to conduct investigations into fraud and misconduct. Excellent and concise writing, and can explain complex legal issues to non-lawyers. Previous experience negotiating with and working alongside external partners. Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda is required.
