Estendio is a mission-driven accessibility start-up dedicated to transforming how neurodivergent individuals navigate their educational and professional journeys. Since launching our first product, Present Pal, in 2018, we have empowered students across over 150 universities in the UK and US to excel in their presentations and communication skills - growing to a team of 17. Building on this success, we are now launching our second product, Tailo, an innovative SaaS platform designed to revolutionise content accessibility and comprehension.

THE ROLE
As the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer (COO/CFO), you will be at the forefront of Estendio’s next phase of growth. This role is not just about managing the numbers—it’s about shaping the future of a company with a profound social impact.
Reporting to the CEO, your main focus initially will be on leading our Series A fundraising efforts and overseeing financial planning; however pivotal to this role is driving operational excellence as we scale from an MVP to a market-leading product.
Your strategic insight combined with financial and operational expertise will be crucial in guiding Estendio through rapid growth, ensuring that we remain agile, efficient, and financially robust.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re seeking a dynamic leader with a proven track record in corporate finance and/or scaling SaaS startups. You should have deep expertise in fundraising, financial management and operational strategy. Your ability to manage complexity, think strategically, and execute with precision will be essential as we navigate this exciting growth phase. This role demands someone who can balance the big picture with the details, driving both financial performance and operational success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising and Financial Strategy
- Lead Fundraising Efforts: Develop and execute a fundraising strategy that aligns with Estendio's growth objectives. Build relationships with investors, manage the due diligence process, and secure capital to fuel our expansion.
- Financial Planning: Oversee financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Ensure financial health and sustainability as we scale.
- Investor Relations: Manage relationships with current and potential investors, providing transparent and regular updates on financial performance and strategic milestones.
Operational Leadership
- Execution of Strategic Plan: Lead the execution of Estendio’s strategic plan, ensuring that all operational goals are met on time and within budget. This includes the successful roll-out of Tailo across key markets.
- Team Management: Ensure our teams are set up for success, and organised cross functionally at the right time. Build, lead, and mentor the finance and operations team, ensuring that we have the talent and resources needed to deliver on our goals. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Process Optimisation: Develop and implement processes that enhance operational efficiency and scalability, with automation front of mind. Identify and mitigate risks, and ensure that operations are aligned with business objectives.
Delivery and Performance
- Business Delivery: Oversee the delivery of our roadmap, ensuring that Tailo and other products meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and implement the right metrics for us to monitor operational success and drive continuous improvement. Regularly review performance data and make strategic adjustments as needed.

Experience
- Fundraising Expertise: Proven experience leading successful fundraising efforts, particularly in the tech or SaaS space.
- Operational Excellence: Extensive experience in operational leadership roles, with a strong track record of organising teams for success, and delivering strategic goals on time and within budget.
- Financial Acumen: Strong background in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and investor relations.
