What will you be doing?
We are looking for an experienced events organiser for our Women's 1st team home games in order to increase attendance and interest from the local area and population. Between August 2024 and May 2025 we will have approximately 15 home matches and we would like to create a bit of extra interest around these to boost awareness and support. We are open to ideas and suggestions as to what these events could be but for example they could be around highlighting a local charity cause, inviting school children to experience women's football, older people in order to combat loneliness or be linked to national FA campaigns such as Rainbow Laces, Football Welcomes Refugees or others. This role could also include the marketing side of the events if the candidate has experience in that too. The role would be working closely with the club chairperson, social media people, team staff and players and could be done mostly remotely apart from on match day itself (Sunday afternoons). Home games are played in Northolt in West London (UB5 5FA).
What are we looking for?
Experience in events organising, a positive and friendly person who enjoys dealing and communicating with a range of people from different backgrounds and ages. Football knowledge is not necessary. Events marketing could be incorporated in the same role if of interest as well.
What difference will you make?
With the women’s game continuously growing we are hoping to capitalise on and contribute to the increased level of interest in the sport and entice more people to come and watch and support their local team on a weekly basis. If we can increase our match day attendance by 25% (current average about 50) that will make an impact both on and off the field for the club and increased visibility will also give local young girls something to aspire to.
