What will you be doing?
Outreach encapsulates a group of organisations focused on elevating the lives of vulnerable young people in the local community. Outreach Homes is a semi-independent accommodation provider for care leavers aged 16-24, helping their transition into full independence. Outreach Community CIC is a new social enterprise, committed to ensuring Safety, Stability and Success for all young people. The Advisory Board Member will play a critical role in guiding the strategic direction of Outreach, ensuring robust governance and fostering our mission to uplift young people. This role involves active participation in board meetings, contributing and creating organisational policies and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring specialised knowledge in social enterprise and nonprofit management, directly impacting Outreach’s growth and sustainability. Key Responsibilities:
Providing Business Advice: Providing guidance to Outreach Homes and Outreach Community CIC on key areas such as operational strategy, financial planning and marketing, ensuring alignment with our mission. Advising on operational efficiency across Outreach’s services. Developing Business Plans: Assisting Outreach Homes in creating comprehensive business plans that outline goals, strategies, and financial projections. Identifying Opportunities: Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, funding sources, and emerging trends that align with Outreach’s goals and enhance our impact. Financial Analysis: Analysing Outreach financial statements, cash flow, and profitability, offering actionable insights and recommendations for financial stability and expansion.

Working with diverse groups of people to ensure that Outreach’s board and organisation reflect and serve young people effectively, particularly those from marginalised backgrounds.
