Purchasing credits through the carbon markets is one of the most established and scalable ways to channel finance from the private sector to effective climate solutions and work toward societal net zero. What will I be doing?👩💻👨💻
As the Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will be the foundational PM at Sylvera, responsible to evolve the strategic positioning, messaging, and promotion of our products. You will work closely with our product development, marketing, sales, communication and customer success teams to ensure our products meet market needs and achieve commercial success. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, market analysis, and hands-on execution.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies that align with company goals and drive market penetration.
- Product Positioning: Define product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market and resonates with our target audience.
- ICP: Research and define our enterprise buyer and user personas, their specific needs, pain points, and goals.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and inform product development.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of go-to-market plans, including product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Customer Insights: Gather and analyze customer feedback to operationalize particular customer use cases and problems that Sylvera solves.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and customer success, to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing strategies.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
We’re looking for someone who:
- 5+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment. Proven track record of successful product launches and market adoption.
- You’re well-versed in the nuances of a complex sales cycle that touches on People, Process, and Technology. Your experience with value-based sales methodologies will be invaluable as you dissect business challenges and inspire stakeholders with a compelling future vision.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, a pro at writing simple, compelling content in language that buyers understand.
- Proficiency in market research and competitive analysis.
- Excel in managing multiple stakeholders across different functions. Your ability to maintain strong relationships, manage expectations, and synchronize efforts between Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams will be key to our integrated go-to-market strategy.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills especially shaping a strategy in a new market such as the voluntary carbon market. Data-driven, use data to measure results and inform decision making and strategy development.
- Passion for solving problems creatively, starting small, failing fast, and applying your learnings.
