About the role

We’re looking for a Senior User Researcher to join our Product team and help us deliver our company mission: to give everyone access to human-centred welfare services.

You’ll be

  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to deliver actionable insights that drive the development of user-centric product
  • Responsible for leading and conducting user research with varied stakeholders from government commissioners and referrers to refugees and homeless people that informs product strategy and design decisions
  • Planning, designing, and executing comprehensive user research studies, including but not limited to, interviews, usability testing, surveys, ethnographic studies, and A/B testing
  • Building user-centered practices across teams and products
  • Developing and maintaining a user research strategy that aligns with business goals. Identify research opportunities that will have the most significant impact on product outcomes
  • Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to uncover user needs, pain points, and behaviors. Synthesize findings into actionable insights and recommendations for product development

You’ll need

  • 5+ years of experience in user research, preferably in a technology or product-driven environment
  • Proficiency in research tools such as UserTesting, Qualtrics, Dovetail, or similar platforms
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology or a related field is preferred
  • Strong numerical skills and a good level of proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
  • Deep knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous research projects and their impact on product development
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Proven experience working in cross-functional teams, with the ability to influence and advocate for user-centered design decisions
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering actionable insights
