Role Summary
- Target outbound sales for private events, focusing on NYC and expanding to other markets.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting to closing deals.
- Collaborate with Concerts teams for seamless execution of events.
- Develop strategies for mid-sized deals and grow the private events function.
- Generate leads and build strong relationships with prospects and partners.
- Guide clients through selecting and negotiating event and sponsorship offerings.
- Deliver exceptional experiences that encourage repeat business.
Role Requirements
- 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in live events, entertainment, media, or tech.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on brand representation.
- Detail-oriented with outstanding project and time management abilities.
- Adept at working cross-functionally and taking ownership of projects.
- Experience with CRM tools like Hubspot is a plus.
As the Sales Lead for Private Events at Sofar, you will focus on outbound private event sales for our Concerts org. You will lead the end-to-end sales process – including prospecting, qualifying, negotiation, and closing – and work closely with our local Concerts teams to ensure we’re executing seamlessly.
Sitting within our Commercial Partnerships team, you’ll focus primarily on NYC (one of our largest, thriving cities!), and other markets as needed. You’ll help build the playbook for mid-sized deals and capitalize on the massive opportunity we have to build out our private events function.

What you'll do:
Identify and research prospective clients for private events and sponsorships, building relationships with companies and individuals that we know will add value to the overall Sofar brand Oversee and execute marketing plans for lead generation Build relationships with existing Sofar Sounds local partners to drive sales of sponsorships and/or private events Lead deal negotiation end-to-end, working to identify the right partnership offering (private event, local sponsorship, ticket buyout, etc.) and negotiating based on existing Sofar rate card Collaborate with the Concerts team to bring your clients’ vision to life, delivering a high quality experience that results in repeat businessWho you are:
You have 1-3 years of experience in sale – including lead generation – ideally in the live events, entertainment, media, or tech space You are a clear and professional communicator able to establish and promote Sofar’s brand throughout every client interaction You are a detail-oriented and highly organized individual with excellent project management and time management skills You are able to work well cross-functionally You thrive when you are able to take ownership of your work, with the ability to drive projects end-to-end with guidance Bonus: you have experience with CRM tools like Hubspot-----
