What will you be doing?
Hours: 4 board meetings per year + additional ad hoc work between meetings. Board meetings are quarterly and last 2-3 hours. Trustee roles are voluntary, however, reasonable expenses may be covered to enable Trustees to participate. Appointments are subject to a satisfactory DBS check. About the role Our organisation operates in three key areas: editorial, education, and policy. Our board has four members with expertise in media and the arts. We are looking for up to three new trustees with an interest or background in the following areas:
Education Policy research and advocacy Fundraising
As a trustee, you'll help advise our leadership teams, contribute your unique perspective, and shape our overall strategy. We're open to a variety of skill sets, and we're primarily looking for people passionate about our mission who want their input to make a difference.
What are we looking for?
Passion for improving access and mobility in education and cultural sectors, particularly for socio-economically disadvantaged groups Experience securing funding and building partnerships Strong communication skills, able to articulate your ideas and collaborate effectively Connections within relevant sectors (eg. education, arts & culture, philanthropy, public policy)
