What will you be doing?
Our mission is to collaborate with exceptional artists to create transformative experiences for people and communities. Stories are the most powerful way to engage, inspire and move people to action. We teach the art of storytelling so you can make a difference. We present stories through events and the largest free online storytelling festival globally, Yorkshire Festival of Story. Our Learning Programmes connect people and enable the disinvested to have a voice. We are an independent arts charity in one of the most rurally isolated parts of the UK. TREASURER The Chair and Trustees are seeking applications for this important role at a pivotal time in our development. The successful candidate will play an important part in the effective governance of the charity. The Treasurer chairs our Finance Committee, and helps to oversee the financial work of the charity. The team includes an Executive Director and Finance Administrator so you will not be involved in the day to day running of the Finances. Following six years in the role, our current Treasurer has come to the end of her term. Settle Stories strives to have a diverse workforce and board. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a BAME background and/or those with disabilities. It is not essential to be located in or around Settle, as meetings are generally held on a hybrid basis. However, you will be expected to participate in our AGM and any other special events in person. The role is voluntary, but travel expenses will be reimbursed if required.
