Surfers Against Sewage is a marine conservation and campaigning charity that has been fighting against sewage and plastic pollution for over 30 years. Our heritage is anchored in the ocean, but our reach and influence now permeates communities and institutions nationwide. We are looking for a Volunteer Regional Representative to join our team.
The Role: As a Regional Rep, you will lead and work alongside a team of dedicated volunteers in your area and coordinate with them to deliver tangible change at a regional and national level. You will receive all the training and resources you need to feel confident and supported in your role. This is a flexible role designed to fit around your life, schedule, and commitments.
Job Requirements: You will be responsible for representing and hosting SAS national campaigns and community work at a local level, mobilising people, and creating a network of local Ocean Activists. You will also be expected to use our campaigning tools to push for policy change on a local and national level, keep in touch with us, and feed back campaign outcomes.
Benefits: Being a SAS regional rep is incredibly empowering. You will be part of a community active in the struggle against corporate greed and its shameful approach to the life on and in our beaches, rivers, and seas. You will also have the opportunity to attend Regional Reps training events and sessions throughout the year to help you learn about Surfers Against Sewage, our policy and campaign asks, and our goals.
Application Details: Please complete the application form and if you have any queries please contact the Reps team on [email removed - click apply for more details] or call us on 01872553001.
