What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities: To work closely with the programmes manager by taking responsibility of a set number of key work tasks related to update and maintenance of social media platforms:
Maintaining and updating Tusome Africa social media accounts across all major social media platforms and any other accounts deemed necessary by the comms officers Supporting in checking our online forums and posting updates where appropriate Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with our overall organisational objectives. Create, post, and manage engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), including text posts, images, infographics, and videos. Manage and schedule social media content calendars. Monitor and analyse social media performance metrics, identify trends, and adjust strategies as needed. Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and address stakeholder inquiries promptly and professionally. Develop advertising pipelines across different platforms to drive conversions and increase donor recognition. Assist with social media advertising initiatives, optimising campaigns to enhance donor engagement. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices.
What are we looking for?
· 3 years of experience in social media marketing or a related field (or demonstrably relevant experience). · Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creative and strategic thinking with a strong sense of brand voice. Proficient in using social media management tools. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with social media analytics is a plus; graphic design or video editing skills are also advantageous.
