Who We Are                                                         

Entrepreneurial Spark build great people who build great businesses to drive growth that benefits everybody. We do this by developing entrepreneurial mindsets and behaviours, a method we have proven with over 10,000 participants globally.

We help people to overcome barriers both personally and professionally and help them achieve their goals and ambitions.

How do we do this? We run accelerator programmes for entrepreneurs, both our own and in partnership with others. Our focus is on building communities of like-minded collaborative people in person and online.   

We believe that entrepreneurs can reach their greatest potential when equipped with accountability, insight, and support throughout both their business and their own personal mindset.

We believe everyone who wants to start and grow a business should have the opportunity and support to succeed, or to discover it is not for them at this time.

As Entrepreneurial Spark moves into an exciting new phase of growth, we require an energetic and inspiring entrepreneurial champion and storyteller. This person will lead the design and delivery of our overall marketing strategy.

Being a start-up ourselves, we are looking for someone to join us on our journey: testing new ideas, pivoting and shining a light down new and exciting paths.

Purpose of the role

You will create the overall strategy and lead the team to deliver campaigns to promote Entrepreneurial Spark to potential partners, and to attract entrepreneurs to our programmes. You will also ensure that as an organisation we deliver on-brand and inspiring messaging at every touchpoint. 

Underpinning all aspects of this this role will be the focus to define and communicate the Entrepreneurial Spark brand, story and impact through everything that we do. We have made progress on building our profile over the last two years, and now have an exciting platform for someone to make their mark and take on a role that has a real impact.

You will lead a team of 2-3 marketeers, and deliver brand leadership to the whole business to ensure we are aligned and clear on our marketing strategy. We want to work with more great people and hope to expand this team, so a strong network and ability to attract talent would be a plus!

You are an energetic, open-minded and self-starting individual who enjoys working within a start-up and the opportunities this brings.

The role will be remote, and you will need to be able to maintain motivation working from home.

You relish responsibility and are not afraid to take the lead or use your initiative, while delegating well and using your leadership skills to inspire, engage and motivate.

You are purposeful in your actions and well organised, but at the same time understand the need for flexibility and are able to take the opportunities when they arise to learn new skills. 

You are a great communicator at all levels of business and have the ability to adapt your tone, message and style dependent on the audience.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Brand & Strategy - You will develop a clear vision of how the Entrepreneurial Spark story needs to be told and how our existing and future programmes fit into this.
  • Partnerships – You will lead the development of relationships with marketing teams outside Entrepreneurial Spark, both in existing consortia and creating new relationships to promote our brand.
  • Programmes – You will work alongside our project and programme managers and build strong relationships with all our programme partners and stakeholders. This will ensure that each we run or deliver is targeted and communicated in line with the brand and project vision.
  • Consistency – You will ensure all programmes are clearly communicated and defined, whilst ensuring the overall Entrepreneurial Spark brand, messaging and purpose remains at the core of any activity we do.
  • Communicate Impact - You will define and create compelling campaigns across all our audiences and community members demonstrating the impact we deliver. 
  • Engage - Your clear narrative of the value we add will ensure we not only continue to attract high potential entrepreneurs to join our programmes and the best stakeholders to partner with us, but that both remain engaged and energised.
  • Customer Development – You will own our customer personas and lead the business in developing them and continuingly focusing on them.

Your Profile:

  • A minimum of 5 years in the marketing industry and minimum 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Hands on and technical experience in a range of digital channels beyond “classic” social media.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to navigate complex market dynamics and drive growth.
  • Results driven and commercial mindset is the type of individual we are looking for someone ready to challenge themselves and take the brand to a new level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Remuneration and benefits

·      £60,000-70,000 annual salary (depending on experience).

·      £75 monthly wellbeing allowance to spend on your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

·      28 days annual holiday allowance + bank holidays.

·      Statutory pension scheme.

·      Mobile phone and laptop will be provided if required.

Location

This is a virtual role, but some of our Accelerator events are in-person. In some cases, we would like you to be able to attend our Accelerator events - all UK based. We also hold team meetings once a quarter and would like you to join these meetings. All travel and accommodation will be covered for the above events and meetings.
