What will you be doing?

We are seeking a talented and professional Fundraiser/Grants Officer to raise much-needed funds for our community outreach activities. About Christ in the Community CIC: Christ in the Community CIC is committed to supporting individuals experiencing challenges due to educational, economic, or mental health difficulties. We collaborate with churches to extend their reach and support their communities. We are currently working on implementing several outreach programs and investing in opportunities, particularly for young people. We also have an ongoing project in Jamaica to support school children with essential food and supplies. Role Overview: The Fundraiser/Grants Officer will have a strong work ethic and ability to pay close attention to detail, increasing our chances of success when applying for grants and bid opportunities. They will work closely with the director, other volunteers, the administrator and our Church Partnership Manager. The ideal candidate will have a heart for the community and will be driven by compassion to support the success of our mission. Responsibilities

Identify suitable grants/bids that can be accessed by Christ In The Community Identify suitable grants/bids that are applicable for both our projects in the UK as well as Jamaica Create a list of grants/bids including their open and close dates Apply for grants/bid using your expertise Utilise your network to identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors Coordinate fundraising initiatives  Advocate for the CIC and its mission to secure financial support Act with integrity and uphold the highest ethical standards

What are we looking for?

Qualifications

Proven success in fundraising Strong research ability Excellent writing skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to plan and coordinate fundraising events or initiatives  

Desired Characteristics

Passion for CIC's mission and a desire to make a positive impact on the community An understanding of applying for bids or at least a willingness to try  A strong desire to contribute to something bigger than yourself Strong understanding of the challenges and lack of opportunities facing faith-based organisations Ability to think creatively and solve problems Excellent time management skills Experience with fundraising in a non-profit setting
