What will you be doing?

Christ in the Community CIC is committed to supporting individuals experiencing challenges due to educational, economic, or mental health difficulties. We collaborate with churches to extend their reach and support their communities. We are currently working on implementing several outreach programs and investing in opportunities, particularly for young people. We want you to organise events within YOUR locality using our support.  Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Outreach Initiatives: Represent the company and work with the Executive Director to develop and implement initiatives that increase visibility and engagement within the community. Plan and Coordinate Activities: Organise activities designed to create awareness, interaction, collaboration, and partnerships with stakeholders, agencies, and other organisations. Support Clients and Raise Awareness: Develop relationships with the local community, organise outreach events, and train churches in community outreach methods. Recruit Volunteers: Attract and manage volunteers to support outreach efforts. Run Outreach Courses: Develop and run courses for churches to enhance their outreach strategies. Community Representation: Represent the church at local events and organise public events to raise awareness of the Church, Gospel of Christ, and Salvation. Marketing and Communication: Work with the administrator to create email campaigns and update social media accounts weekly. Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, and appearances. Manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail. Adapt to changing needs and time pressures. Communicate professionally and build relationships with co-workers, volunteers, customers, stakeholders, agents, donors, and vendors. Create and sustain positive working relationships at all levels. Track, analyse, and adjust programs and processes as necessary. Support the Line Manager with scheduling all departmental activities. Schedule regular outreach exhibitions and educate employees on community responsibility.

What are we looking for?

Skills Required:

Knowledge and Experience: Background in marketing, journalism, public relations, community services, or related fields. Experience working with agencies such as the NHS, Social Services, Police, and Local Authorities is advantageous. Communication and Leadership: Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and management skills, including experience with institutional databases, public access sites, and primary research. Reporting and Technical Skills: Good reporting, technical, and statistical skills with budget management experience. Logistics Design for Community Campaigns and Events Advocacy Mentoring or Coaching
