What will you be doing?
Responsibilities
Governance and Oversight:
Review and approve CIC's strategic plans, budgets, and financial statements. Ensure our CIC operates in compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Oversee the management team and provide strategic guidance. Participate in regular Board meetings and contribute actively to discussions. Attend relevant training sessions to stay up-to-date on governance best practices.
Fundraising:
Utilise your network and expertise to identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors. Work closely with churches and Christian organisations to build relationships and further our Christian endeavours. Assist with fundraising initiatives and grant applications. Advocate for CIC and its mission to secure financial support.
Fiduciary Duties:
Act with integrity and uphold the highest ethical standards. To be led by our Christian values when making decisions and forming relationships. Ensure the responsible use of CIC's resources. Declare any potential conflicts of interest.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications
Strong faith background and a deep commitment to Christian values. Proven leadership experience in a relevant field (e.g., business, volunteering, non-profit sector, law). Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making skills. Strong analytical and financial literacy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with governance best practices is a plus. Experience with fundraising in a non-profit setting is a plus.

Working alongside the Director and an additional Trustee, you will help to steer the future of Christ In The Community by contributing to strategic guidance, planning, governance oversight, and fundraising support. Your participation will help us to reach our goals as a CIC, touching the lives of people who are in great need of our intervention.
