Role Summary:Join a team of 2 platform engineers managing AWS infrastructure.Develop features for CI/CD pipelines.Improve processes and tooling for ML model deployment to AWS.Design and implement infrastructure and tooling.Establish best practices for security, monitoring, and reliability.
Role Requirements:In-depth knowledge of AWS services, principles, and best practices.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, e.g., Terraform.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, e.g., TeamCity.Familiarity with Kotlin for CI pipeline maintenance.Python coding skills for AWS infrastructure tasks.Understanding of production service observability through logs, metrics, and monitoring, e.g., Datadog.

As a Senior Platform Engineer at Marshmallow, you will be part of the Platform Team, which currently consists of 2 platform engineers who manage our AWS infrastructure, maintain and develop new features for our CI/CD pipelines among other things. Your work will involve improving processes, tooling, and automation for building, testing, and deploying ML models to our AWS cloud environment. You will have a hands-on role in designing and implementing the required infrastructure and tooling, and also help to set standards and best practices when it comes to areas such as security, monitoring and reliability.
Job requirements include knowledge around AWS products, principles, and best practices e.g. IAM, VPCs, experience with writing Infrastructure as Code e.g. Terraform, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines e.g. TeamCity, familiarity with writing Kotlin code for working on our CI pipelines, ability to write Python code for other parts of our infrastructure such as AWS Lambdas, and knowledge around tooling and best practices on observability of production services though logs, metrics and monitoring e.g. Datadog.
