  • Proven experience in advising high-net-worth individuals on philanthropy, investments, or wealth management.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with tech CEOs and investors.
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively.
  • Service-oriented with a flexible working style.
  • Knowledge of German or French is a plus, but not essential.
ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an Advisor to join our Advisory team, responsible for guiding and supporting our members through their philanthropy. As an Advisor you will provide our members with portfolios of grant recommendations that fit their values and priorities while optimising for recommendations to the highest-impact funding opportunities that are able to have outsized impact. You will be well positioned to influence and inspire our members – CEOs, founders and investors with significant philanthropic capital – to give more and give better through your expert advice. 

Your primary focus will be serving our members based in EMEA and you will report into our Chief Experience Officer based in the UK. You will join a global Advisory team, alongside Advisors serving our members’ philanthropy across the 40+ countries in which our members live, and will have the opportunity to collaborate with other global teams within our Member Experience function that covers our members’ entire journey with Founders Pledge.

You will be responsible for:

  • Building and managing relationships with a portfolio of EMEA-based members, working with them to establish their philanthropic priorities and developing high-impact portfolios to guide their giving

  • Providing expert philanthropic advice to those within our membership such that they are well-prepared to maximise the impact of their giving.

  • Representing Founders Pledge and our approach to high-impact philanthropy at our events where appropriate, which include dinners, retreats and webinars

  • Developing high-quality materials and communication assets that inspire members to engage with the Advisory service and stay engaged within their time-bound Advisory journey

  • Working cross-functionally with other member-facing teams to ensure seamless and exceptional member stewardship that leads to high-impact giving

ABOUT YOU:

This role is perfect for someone who is deeply driven and excited by the opportunity to influence the deployment of significant levels of philanthropic capital held by tech entrepreneurs to the interventions and charities that can have outsized impact and truly change the world for the better. 

You will have experience in an advisory capacity to HNWIs, perhaps through Philanthropic Advising, Major Gifts stewardship, Wealth Management or similar professions, and your ability to build trusted relationships and inspire action from your clients will set you apart in this role.

To be successful in this role, you will understand the importance of being cause-neutral in your advisory practice and you will be aligned with our approach to high-impact philanthropy. You will be passionate about learning more about our research and can bring that enthusiasm and passion into your interactions with our members.

You will need to have:

  • Relevant direct or transferrable experience in advising HNW individuals (or CEOs) in philanthropy, investments, businesses or complex family dynamics

  • The ability to quickly build peer-level, trusting relationships with our membership of tech CEOs, HNWIs, founders and investors

  • Experience influencing stakeholders and a comfort in holding space for positive and productive challenge that leads to positive outcomes

  • A service-oriented approach and flexibility in your working style to meet the needs of our members as well as our goals as an organisation

  • Experience digesting, communicating and leveraging complex information and quantitative reports clearly and persuasively

  • Ideally business fluency in German and/or French (nice to have but not crucial)

We ask applicants for this role to be based in London or Europe. If you’re based in London, we’d like you to come to our office in London Bridge 1-2 days a week during onboarding. If based in Europe, this is a remote role. To work remotely you just need a great home wifi connection, and we’ll provide you with everything else that you need!

We usually bring the global team together once per year, and individual teams will meet to work together at least once annually!
