What will you be doing?
Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and backend developers, to understand project requirements and translate them into compelling map visualizations. Develop and maintain custom maps using deck.gl, Mapbox, and Leaflet.js, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.Implement interactive features such as data overlays, filtering, and clustering to enhance map functionality.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to map development, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our mapping capabilities. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to map performance, compatibility, and responsiveness.Optimize maps for various devices and browsers to ensure a seamless user experience.
What are we looking for?
Requirements: Proven experience as a Frontend Developer with a focus on map development.Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.Extensive hands-on experience with deck.gl, Mapbox, and Leaflet.js.Solid understanding of geospatial data, mapping libraries, and data visualization principles.Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating external data sources into map applications.Experience with version control systems such as Git.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of WebGL and related technologies.Experience with GIS (Geographic Information System) concepts and tools.Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React.
