Role Summary:

  • As a Business Development Manager for the Car Finance Partnerships team, you'll be central to expanding our dealer/broker network.
  • You'll be in charge of partner acquisition, guiding dealers and brokers from initial outreach to successful sign-up, and further assisting their onboarding to ensure a smooth start and successful collaboration.


Role Requirements:

  • Ideal candidates are proactive, resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, and flourish in fast-paced environments.
  • You should have 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a partner-facing role, with a clear understanding of outbound prospecting and pipeline management.
  • Experience in a tech scale-up, or automotive or motor finance is preferred, but not essential.

The role As a Business Development Manager in the Car Finance Partnerships team at Marshmallow, you will play a key role in building and growing our dealer and broker network. This team owns the partner lifecycle from acquisition and onboarding through to the early stages of partner success, helping new partners get set up smoothly and start seeing value from working with Marshmallow. You will own partner acquisition activity by identifying, reaching out to, and engaging prospective dealers and brokers who are a strong fit for Marshmallow. You will run the sales journey end-to-end from initial outreach through to pitch conversations and successful sign-up. Additionally, you will manage partner onboarding by progressing new partners through internal processes and helping them get to first payout as smoothly as possible.

Job requirements You should be proactive and resilient, enjoy the energy that comes with outbound business development, and be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Around 2-3 years of career experience in business development, sales, or a partner-facing role with clear exposure to outbound prospecting and managing a pipeline is likely to be a strong fit for this role. Experience in a tech scale-up or automotive or motor finance is preferred but not essential.
