About the role
We are the UK's national campaign for a four-day working week. We campaign across the UK for a four-day, 32 hour working week with no loss of pay and support businesses and organisations with implementation.
This is an exciting time for the campaign and we are looking for a new board member to specifically support with our fundraising efforts.
Our Board plays a vital role in making sure that the 4 Day Week Campaign achieves its core purpose. They oversee the overall management and administration, but also ensure that we have a clear and winnable strategy to make the four-day week the normal way of working in Britain by the end of this decade.
To continue growing the momentum that has been generated, we need to step up our fundraising drive over the coming year so that the resources of the campaign matches the scale of our ambition and the high levels of support that now exists in the country for a four-day week.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual with fundraising expertise willing to bring knowledge, commitment and a reasonable amount of time to the role – ideally a couple of hours each month. You do not need previous governance experience. We are hoping the successful candidate will agree to join our board for a minimum period of 12 months.
What will you be doing?
This is an unpaid role supporting our Campaign Director and staff team with fundraising efforts – by supporting grant funding research and bids, advising on fundraising strategy and identifying other opportunities.
You will attend 3-4 board meetings remotely throughout the year and one meeting in person (for which travel expenses will be repaid).
