NFER, a leading independent charity with a global reputation, is seeking an enthusiastic Head of Finance to join our team and lead the delivery of a range of initiatives to improve our financial framework.
The role: As Head of Finance, you’ll play a crucial role in designing and delivering a finance transformation strategy while providing leadership and management to the finance team. Working under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll critically assess operating models and processes such as annual budgets, third party due-diligence and project accountancy setup. You’ll also be responsible for providing advice and guidance to senior managers using insights from financial data.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and the ability to think strategically, outline a vision and get buy-in from business stakeholders. Significant finance transformation and business change experience, including the implementation of finance-related enterprise resource planning and other finance software/technical solutions is required. CCAB accountancy (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent qualification, along with substantial experience in financial analysis and stakeholder engagement is essential.
Benefits: We offer a total of 42 days of paid leave comprising of 30 days of annual leave, four discretionary days and eight bank holidays. We also offer enhanced maternity/parental leave, and paid compassionate leave. Pension: employer contributions of 10% of your salary.
