The Access Support Team at Arts Council England is looking for an Officer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an organisation that is committed to supporting arts, museums and libraries.

The role involves supporting customers that experience barriers when making applications for funding and accessing our programmes and services. You will work closely with other departments, individuals and organisations to ensure everyone has an equitable opportunity to apply for funding and use our services. The team is line managed by the Senior Officer and is made up of five staff. It is a busy, customer-facing team and as the Officer, your areas of focus will include overseeing the team’s operational workload and having a clear sense of the team’s capacity and priorities on a day-to-day basis.

You will need to work in a dynamic way to support the team, particularly in busier periods. Your role will also include identifying areas for improvement and being proactively resourceful and solution-focused. The Officer will help champion anti-ableism internally and externally, influencing and refining processes and procedures to help remove systemic bias and improve services offered to applicants.

The role is based in Manchester, however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week. The salary for this role is £30,631 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.
