- Manage and deliver low carbon projects
- Conduct and support technical energy project analyses

- Degree in engineering, environmental sciences, economics, or related field
- 1-3 years' experience in the energy or low carbon sector

We are Scene Connect, a company passionate about delivering a socially just transition to a net-zero energy system. We are currently looking for a Low Carbon Consultant to join our team. This role can be based in either Edinburgh or Liverpool, with remote working supported.
The Role: As a Low Carbon Consultant, you will be responsible for project management to deliver and administer low carbon projects. This includes conducting and supporting technical analysis of energy projects, building energy efficiency, and local energy systems. You will also be tasked with designing and operating technical and financial energy models, supporting the production of graphical reporting and data analysis outputs, and spatial assessment and mapping, including use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Report writing will also be a key part of your role.
Job Requirements: We are looking for a graduate with a degree in engineering, environmental sciences, economics, or other relevant area, or with a strong background in low carbon activities outside your academic background. You should have 1 to 3 years' professional experience in the energy or low carbon sector, experience in project management, project planning and team management, and an understanding of global and UK energy sector and low carbon agenda. Technical and research skills, including a good understanding of research methods and analysis, are also required. You should be a capable data manager / analyst, and have experience in data presentation and mapping. Good communication and outreach skills are also essential, as is a positive attitude and an interest in local / community-led energy.
