  • Role Summary:
    • Be an integral part of the Motor Engineering Team within the dynamic Claims department.
    • Contribute to claims reviews, fraud identification, and provide cross-functional support.
    • Collaborate with in-house Engineers to analyse claims and manage the repair authorisation process.
    • Ensure total loss cases are correctly valued, categorised, and processed efficiently.
  • Role Requirements:
    • Knowledge of industry repair estimating systems.
    • Qualification in City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Craft (Parts 1, & 2) or equivalent.
    • Experience in vehicle repairs or a Motor Engineering department/VDA role.
    • Proficiency with Audatex.
    • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Capacity to manage workload effectively in a customer-centric environment.

The Role As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be part of our rapidly growing and evolving Motor Engineering Team that compliments the rest of the Claims Team. We review accident damage claims, identify fraud and provide support to all areas of the business. You will be working closely with our existing in-house Engineers, analysing each claim and making decisions on the best course for the claim. You will also be ensuring repairable cases are authorised within SLA at best commercial terms for the business and total loss cases are valued, categorised correctly, and processed within SLA.

Job Requirements We are looking for someone with knowledge or an understanding of industry repair estimating systems, City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Craft (Parts 1, & 2) or equivalent, relevant trade experience in vehicle repairs, experience of working in or with a Motor Engineering department environment or in a VDA role, and experience with Audatex. You should also have the ability to analyse information and propose solutions, proven negotiation skills, problem-solving skills, and proven ability to manage workload in a busy customer-facing environment.
