The role The Legal Counsel will deliver high quality, commercially focused legal services, in a manner that’s aligned to the strategic and commercial objectives of Movember. This role will work across Movember, supporting both impact-driving and income-generating activities. This will include providing legal support and advice to Movember's Fundraising team with commercial partnerships and advice about fundraising activities; about social media and PR-related matters; that support's Movember's operations and corporate services functions around commercial agreements, compliance and general legal matters; about various grant-based programs, research funding, and other commercial arrangements that deliver on Movember's strategic mission to Change the Face of Men's Health; in relation to privacy law, brand protection, risk management and insurance; to ensure Movember meets all legal and regulatory requirements.
Job requirements Unrestricted qualification to practice law in Victoria, with 3 – 6 years’ PQE. Experience in negotiation and management of legal contracts. Some experience in dealing with regulatory and contractual issues in countries outside of Australia. Ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of stakeholders - internal and external. Highly developed organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively. Ability to work in a fast paced and growth environment. A good awareness of global privacy and data protection laws is essential (experience advising in this area is desirable). A team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with global internal stakeholders and external parties.
