Community Energy England is looking for a Community Energy Project Manager at Northern Powergrid.
The organisation: Community Energy England operates on a purely not-for-profit basis with all of our income used to fund our activities working on behalf of the community energy sector.
The role: The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for community-led energy projects and a sound understanding of the impact the energy transition will have on vulnerable customers and communities. They will lead the new team to deliver interventions, respond to our stakeholders’ needs and become an integral part of our strategy for supporting their communities.
Job requirements: Key responsibilities include developing and managing the community energy programme, maintaining a network of partnerships with relevant community energy stakeholders, using data and analytics to establish a balanced programme, overseeing support provided to grassroots community energy schemes, gathering intelligence about local and national funding schemes for decarbonisation initiatives and holding responsibility for Northern Powergrid’s position on community energy policy and practice.
