What will you be doing?

We support individuals age 25+ to navigate their careers, boost their employability and gain practical experience when they need it (experiential learning). We do this through our content, events, and soon to be launched workshops. We are urgently looking for experienced business developers to work with us as we market our events and grow our stakeholder and customer networks. Your contribution will go a long way to helping us succeed with our mission to assist thousands of people achieve their full potential at all stages of their career.  We would like the volunteer to: 

Represent our organisation as a volunteer business development professional Grow 1st degree connections on LinkedIn (target audience is career changers, struggling job seekers, mature students) Assist us to sell tickets to our events via LinkedIn and 1st degree LinkedIn connections Assist us to sell tickets to our events via other forms of direct marketing Suggest and execute other forms of marketing and selling that result in event ticket sales

You will be working with our strategic director who will share our marketing and sales strategy, and support you to achieve success in your role. 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a volunteer who has experience:

Using LinkedIn to grow connections Using LinkedIn to market and sell offerings  Using direct marketing to market and sell offerings

The volunteer should also have/be: 

Accuracy and attention to detail Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to quickly understand the needs of our team / organisation / users Can ask key questions to enable us to clarify requirements Understands the resource constraints of a small not-for-profit and is able to work with these Open to feedback Collaborative Willing and able to work within virtual teams and contribute to team goals
