Role Summary

Role Requirements
- PhD/MSc in Plant Breeding, Seed Science, Seed Systems, Seed Technology, or related field.
- 5 years of experience with MSc or 2 years with PhD in seed research, development, or systems.
- Proficiency in English, knowledge of Kinyarwanda is a bonus.

The role: As the Rwanda Seed Science & Technology Lead at the RICA Seed Center, you will manage technical research and professional courses to ensure integrity and excellence, aiding over 1 million farmers in accessing high-quality seeds. This role involves a 40% focus on research, 40% on postgraduate-level teaching, and 20% on management.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Plant Breeding, Seed Science, Seed Systems, Seed Technology, or a related field, or an MSc with significant relevant experience. You should have at least 5 years of experience with an MSc or 2 years with a PhD in seed research, development, or systems. Proficiency in English is required, and working knowledge of Kinyarwanda is an advantage.
