Volunteer Solicitor (Voluntary)

What will you be doing?

This is a short-term opportunity.  We've only been going for two years, but we are already winning significant bids and taking on some complex Community Engagement projects, all of them related to the Climate and Biodiversity crises.  A fast-approaching large-scale Suffolk project means that we really do need an experienced Solicitor who can help us grow.   We are a Community Benefit Society, and the nature of our projects mean that we will most likely need to restructure shortly.  We can manage the mechanics of that, but would prefer to have an experienced Solicitor on board. You'll definitely be a qualified Solicitor.  Experience of local government would be a bonus, but not at all essential. 

What are we looking for?

Qualified Solicitor, experience of processing leases.  

What difference will you make?

We operate in a changing environment:  communities are hungry for involvement in the changes that affect them.  They want to understand how they can help to mitigate climate change, and then to get involved in hands-on projects.  You can really help us to crank up our activity, and deliver on our current bids and projects.  We don't have your experience, and its beginning to hold us back.  We're a nice enough group of people, and not at all difficult to work with! There are very few dull moments here at the moment.
