What will you be doing?

Role Overview:The Volunteer Press Officer will play a critical role in shaping our media presence. You will be responsible for managing our relationships with the press, crafting press releases, and ensuring that BPUR's mission and activities are communicated clearly and effectively to our target audiences. Key Responsibilities:

Draft and distribute press releases, media briefs, and other public statements Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers Monitor media coverage and track the effectiveness of press campaigns Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews with BPUR representatives Collaborate with the communications team to align media outreach with ongoing campaigns Assist in organising press events and media briefings Identify and pursue new opportunities for press coverage

Requirements:

Strong writing and communication skills Experience in PR, media relations, journalism, or communications Ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt messaging for different audiences Familiarity with current media trends and digital platforms Highly organised and capable of meeting deadlines A passion for human rights, social justice, and advocacy (preferred but not required)

A passionate believer in our cause to eliminate the root causes of religious conflicts and protect all victims of religious oppression.  Someone who has an interest in networking with global high-profile public figures, philanthropists, politicians, celebrities and activists. Experience in writing and editing articles and press releases.  Knowledge of the media outlets and the key players in the sector.  Good interpersonal, communication, and promotional skills. Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively.

As a volunteer Lead Campaigner you will help BPUR International to set global rules to protect all victims of religious oppression and discrimination.   Our supporters, including many religious minority leaders and women’s groups, believe that this proposed treaty would be an indispensable tool at the local and international levels to empower civil societies in their campaigns to enforce human rights values.  What’s in it for you?
