Role Requirements:
- Strong background in accounting and financial control
- Experience in financial month end processes and complex regulatory environments
- Proven ability to manage financial statement reporting and audits
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Professional finance qualification (ACA or equivalent)
- Knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles
- Familiarity with Workday or similar systems is desirable
- At least 4 years of experience in financial accounting within a listed or complex company

Checkout.com is looking for a Manager, Group Financial Reporting to join our UK Finance team. This is a very exciting opportunity for a finance professional to join a rapidly expanding global company. The role is in a multi-layered global finance team and will be a central point for finance for the UK region, covering our main UK entities and their branches around the world.
The ideal candidate will be a great finance manager with a willingness to be hands-on, someone that is self motivated with excellent communication skills. You will be joining a growing global financial controller team that is building a more controlled and best in class environment. The role is part of the Financial and Management Reporting team that coordinates the Group month end process, consolidated reporting for internal and investor reporting.
Responsibilities include owning the Group month end timetable, central controls, coordinating the Global teams to ensure adherence with the timetable and controls are completed. You will also assist with the Group month end reporting to Finance leadership, building new processes and reporting. Alongside all finance teams, ensure adherence to timetables, monitoring of risks, opportunities and issues. Assist with creating the year end financial statements for group entities and managing the audits therein. Managing external stakeholders such as auditors. Participate in global ad hoc projects as necessary. Responsible for building strong processes and controls that are appropriate for a highly regulated environment.
Successful candidates will bring a strong accounting and financial control background, leading and delivering financial accounting and month end processes at scale in complex, regulatory environments, ideally within traditional finance, banking or payments/fintech industries. Highly motivated and able to work towards tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment. Experience delivering financial statement reporting and delivering audits on time. Excellent stakeholder manager, comfortable being a contact point in finance and liaising with numerous stakeholders across Checkout and external providers including auditors. Professional finance qualification such as the ACA or equivalent. You will also hold practical knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles. Systems knowledge, particularly Workday, would be highly desirable. 4+ years of financial accounting and controls experience ideally within a listed environment or large complex company.
