We are looking for a Head of the Technology and Products Division in the Systems, Strategic Programme Lines and Technology Department, Directorate of Connectivity and Secure Communications (D/CSC).
The Role: You will be reporting to the Head of the Systems, Strategic Programme Lines and Technology Department. Your responsibilities will include management of the ARTES Core Competitiveness Generic Programme Line, coordination of the development of non-generic satellite technologies and products under the ARTES Core Competitiveness (CC) Programme Line, and management of the ESA team, among others. You will also be responsible for identifying, assessing, managing and reporting the health and safety risks in your area of responsibility.
Job Requirements: You should have a master’s degree in an engineering discipline. Proven experience of leading, motivating and developing a team is required. You should also have the ability to provide strategic direction to individuals and teams and to relate team objectives to the overall, evolving organisational goals and context. Knowledge of satellite telecommunications research and development activities, the satellite telecommunications market and related space industry, and procurement processes and rules is also required.
