What will you be doing?

Transforming Autism offer various online and on-site services to families around the UK, each tailored to a specific audience (depending on location and age of the child/ren). We are looking for someone to join our existing team of three volunteers.   The Family Services Coordiantor role will involve some of the following tasks:

Responding to family requests via email or phone and keeping our family tracker updated Connecting families to the necessary services they require according to the child’s age and location, and the availability of our services Coordinating with therapists to determine future waves and services, based on the charity budget and therapist availability Keeping all service detail up to date and providing support to therapists leading the services  Support with collecting data for use by therapists, marketing and fundraising team (such as attendance, consent forms and feedback questionnaires)  Support with future service design of new services, as the charity grows. This includes assessing potential services, research and design, followed by implementation

What are we looking for?

You will need to be committed to and passionate about our charity, its values and goals, and the services we are delivering, as your role will be a central element of its success.   This role involves managing projects (services) and you will need to be reliable and pro-active, able to take ownership of processes and ensure they progress to plan, assessing any risks that you find and informing all parties involved (families, therapists and family services team). Experience in project management. Communication will be one of your key strengths and you’ll be able to keep all stakeholders informed of details. The ideal volunteer will have experience in a role that requires communication across teams and structures, in any sector. As you will be involved in organizing future services, experience in Service Design with another charity is another bonus.

What difference will you make?

The family services are the heart of Transforming Autism. We are able to support families that are seeking guidance which is not easy to find elsewhere in the UK. By connecting families to the right services, you will have a tangible, positive impact on the lives for families with autistic children across the UK and beyond.
