What will you be doing?

You will be part of The Cyber Helpline Fundraising Team making a significant contribution to securing continuous funding for this dynamic and rapidly growing charity. We have a significant number of corporate sponsors, mainly from the cybersecurity market segment, and we intend to grow this stream. We also have success in applying for various types of grants and would like to increase this source of income.  You will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, engaging with them, and managing them through to successful acquisition of funds. The engagement process will involve the creation of concise, donor-specific bid documents and presentations. You will be reporting to the CEO who will assist you with qualifying opportunities and tracking their progress. The charity does not have a physical office so you will be working exclusively from home.

What are we looking for?

This role would be a perfect opportunity for a positive, proactive and creative fundraiser with a proven track record of securing funds via corporate and grant fundraising. We will also consider candidates from a sales and or marketing background with experience in bid writing. To be successful in this role you'll be a strong networker and relationship builder, with the ability to relate and communicate effectively whilst building a pipeline of fund-raising opportunities. You'll be results-driven, ambitious, with creative thinking and a strong sense of teamwork.

What difference will you make?

The Cyber Helpline is a movement by the cybersecurity community to step in and fill the gap in support for victims of cybercrime, digital fraud and online harm. Our unique model allows us to harness the skills and expertise of the cybersecurity community and change lives by helping thousands of victims a month. Over 800,000 individuals have accessed our help and our helpline has directly supported more than 60,000 victims. We provide a free 24/7 self-help service and a confidential helpline for individuals and sole traders. We help victims understand, contain, recover and learn from cyber attacks by linking them with cybersecurity technology and experts who provide relevant advice and guidance.  You will be making a huge difference to many thousands of service users by helping to ensure continued funding of this unique and highly-valued service.
