What will you be doing?

Due to Trustees completing their terms of office, Didsbury Good Neighbours is seeking a new volunteer Trustee (Treasurer) offering an array of expertise with a focus on finance. Those wishing to apply should be interested in the wellbeing of older people in the community. Successful applicants must have a range of knowledge and experience of strategic and financial management and who could contribute to the general operations of the charity. Applicants are invited to visit Didsbury Good Neighbours for a tour and informal chat prior to any shortlisting.

What are we looking for?

Applicants should have a passion to make a real difference to the lives of the local older community through their ability to support and shape the work of the charity. Experience in key areas of finance, marketing and hospitality are sought to strengthen the ongoing programmes and enhance the charity's vision for its future development.  We welcome applicants from Didsbury and surrounding areas who have a desire to invest in our local community and make a real difference to the lives of older people. The current board of trustees, staff and volunteers form a well-rounded, enthusiastic team who work collectively to achieve the objectives of the charity. We value all stakeholders contributions and at every opportunity are member lead when shaping future charity goals.

What difference will you make?

You will be joining an experienced team who will be overseeing an array of exciting projects, including the delivery of our volunteer befriending work, a new Mental Health funded gardening project and the continued development of the Neighbourhood Centre and Pavilion Café in Didsbury Park. Successful applicants will offer a fresh perspective to ongoing and future initiatives with their identified areas of expertise strengthening and invigorating the current board.
