Hampton & Hampton Hill Voluntary Care (HHHVC) isn’t your typical charity. We’re the force behind Greenwood Community Centre, not only making the Centre a vibrant, welcoming hub but also driving outreach services through over 100 dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers provide invaluable support to those who need it most in our community, from befriending and transport to helping reduce isolation. Together, we’re creating real connections that uplift and inspire. We’re searching for new trustees to help guide our mission to new heights. What are we looking for?
To apply for the roles of Trustee at Hampton & Hampton Hill Voluntary Care, we’re looking for individuals with the following skills, experience, and qualities: Skills and Experience:
Governance Knowledge: Understanding of charity governance, legal responsibilities, and the role of a trustee in shaping strategic direction. Leadership and Strategic Thinking: Proven experience in a leadership role with the ability to guide and influence the organisation’s long-term vision and strategy. Finance, HR, or Legal Expertise: Experience in one or more of these areas to help support the organisation’s operational and financial decisions. Fundraising and Business Development: Knowledge of fundraising, grant applications, or building partnerships to support the charity’s sustainability. Community Engagement: Experience working with or in communities, particularly in empowering and improving services for vulnerable groups. Environmental Sustainability: A passion or expertise in sustainability to help guide our ongoing eco-friendly initiatives.

Commitment to the Cause: A passion for improving the quality of life for people in the local community, especially those affected by loneliness and isolation. Collaborative Mindset: A team player who can work with other trustees, staff, and volunteers to create positive change. Integrity and Transparency: Upholds the highest standards of governance, ethics, and accountability. Innovative and Proactive: Open to new ideas, forward-thinking, and willing to take action to ensure the charity’s future growth. Empathy and Inclusiveness: Understands and embodies the values of respect, empathy, and inclusiveness in all interactions.
While previous board experience is beneficial, it’s not a requirement. We welcome diverse candidates with the passion and skills to contribute to the charity’s mission.
