  • Prepare and submit annual reports and program applications to regulatory agencies.
  • Assist campuses with licensure renewals and regulatory visits.
  • Organize regulatory records and promote compliance.
  • Complete applications for new and revised courses and programs, including distance learning.
  • Update the US Department of Veterans Affairs on course changes and tuition updates.
  • Ensure regulatory approvals are communicated to corporate and school staff.
  • Review applications and reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate updates for school catalogs and enrollment agreements.
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies and prepare for audits.
  • Maintain and report on regulatory submissions.
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding regulatory requirements.
  • Keep comprehensive records of all documentation.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a related field.

The role offers a competitive salary range of $54,000 to $70,000, based on experience and location, within the approved operating countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and Singapore.

Job Summary

The Regulatory Specialist will assist in preparing annual reports and preparing new and revised program applications to states and other regulatory agencies that oversee the schools and regulated entities operated by General Assembly (GA).  In addition, the Specialist will assist campuses in preparation for licensure renewal and other regulatory visits. The Specialist will help organize the regulatory records and proactively work with other compliance team members to promote regulatory compliance with current regulations and standards.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete state regulatory agency new/revised course/program & institution applications
  • Complete distance learning course/program applications. 
  • Provide updates to the US Department of Veterans Affairs on new courses/programs, tuition changes, and other regulatory reporting in partnership with finance
  • Provide notifications to corporate and school staff related to regulatory approvals. 
  • Review all assigned regulatory applications, correspondence and reports for accuracy, consistency, quality, and compliance. 
  • Coordinate and communicate changes for school catalogs and enrollment agreements to align with applications.
  • Liaise with representatives from regulatory agencies with clear communication
  • Prepare GA for any audits from state regulatory agencies using regulatory checklists
  • Maintain tracking and reporting tools for regulatory submissions 
  • Respond to GA management and staff related to state regulatory requirements/inquiries
  • Solicit and maintain complete and accessible records/documentation of all applications, reports, plans and approvals in SharePoint or other company records repository
  • Complies with all policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 0-2 years experience

The anticipated compensation range for this role in the US market is $54,000 and $70,000. Compensation will be determined based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Unless otherwise noted, remote positions can be performed from the following approved General Assembly operating countries.

United States of America (states of operation may vary), Canada (provinces of operation may vary), United Kingdom, Australia, and Singapore.
