Role Summary
- As General Counsel and Company Secretary, you'll lead our Legal, Enterprise Risk, and Company Secretariat teams.
- You'll be responsible for ensuring good governance and integrity in all our operations.
- You'll act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board.
- Your role will involve overseeing internal audit performance and incorporating legal, governance, and risk perspectives into organisational decision-making.
Role Requirements
- Must be an English qualified lawyer with experience in charity and fundraising laws, corporate governance, commercial contracts, intellectual property, IT, and corporate law.
- Experience in an in-house legal role, preferably within a charity and international contexts, is ideal.
- You should have senior experience leading teams, working with executives and trustees, and possess excellent communication skills.

You will lead our Legal, Enterprise Risk, and Company Secretariat functions, oversee internal audit performance, and serve as a trusted adviser to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board. Your role will involve integrating legal, governance, and risk-thinking into organizational decision-making, fostering innovation and impact while ensuring compliance and safeguarding our reputation and obligations.
