  • Developing and executing annual activation plans with commercial partners.
  • Setting partnership goals and KPIs, and managing innovative partnership campaigns.
  • Building strong, high-level relationships with commercial partners and understanding their brand and business objectives.
  • Coordinating with internal teams like Marketing, Digital, Events, and Communications to ensure campaign success.
  • Managing player content, appearances, and event hosting to fulfill partner and ECB objectives.
  • Handling partner servicing budgets and delivering evaluation presentations.
  • Proven client-facing experience in managing major partnerships, especially in sports or entertainment.
  • Strong understanding of marketing, particularly digital engagement, and campaign strategy development.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Confidence in leading discussions and building processes for improved collaboration.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.

PURPOSE

The Commercial Partnerships Manager role is an integral member of our commercial team and is responsible for building and managing day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of exciting and forward thinking partners. Collaborative working is key, with both external and internal stakeholders, to develop and deliver best in class annual activation plans.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF

  • You are dedicated to providing outstanding client service to partners and have experience in planning, managing and executing high profile partnerships.

  • You have collaborated with major brands in sports or entertainment and possess a deep understanding of core marketing principles, digital and fan engagement which in turn deliver against collaboratively set partner objectives

  • You exhibit strong leadership and interpersonal skills, fostering excellent relationships at all levels within stakeholder organisations.

  • You are highly organised, flexible and pay great attention to detail.

  • You excel at collaborating with various stakeholders across the business, both internally and externally.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Collaborating with key ECB commercial partners to deliver innovative and effective partnerships.

  • Working alongside partners and their agencies to set partnership objectives and KPIs, develop and implement annual activation plans, which are all measured accurately via an agreed framework

  • Building strong relationships with our commercial partners at all levels (including C-Suite) to gain a deep understanding of their brands and business goals.

  • Coordinating ECB Marketing, Digital, Events, and Communications teams to support partner campaigns, ensuring alignment with departmental strategies, partner objectives, and engagement with target audiences.

  • Overseeing player content and appearances to achieve both partner and ECB objectives.

  • Attending matches throughout the summer as part of the event delivery team and hosting partners

  • Managing partner servicing budgets.

  • Developing and delivering objective-led partner evaluation presentations.

YOU’LL HAVE

  • The ability to work within a fast-paced environment where change is part of the fabric and innovation is at the core.

  • Established experience in a client facing role, planning and managing major partnerships and activating through the line marketing campaigns, with a significant focus on digital

  • Sound commercial sense with the ability to understand partner objectives, how to evaluate and evolve them, leading client conversations with confidence and gravitas.

  • Demonstrable experience in developing campaign strategy and generating creative ideas to assist partners to leverage their assets.

  •  Excellent project, planning, time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work under pressure.

  •  The confidence and capability to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  •  Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and decision-making skills.

  • Experience of building process, ways of working and collaboration.
